Top 10 Must-See Movies For Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Just last month I was contacted by a young man named Chris who said he had discovered www.BusinessOpportunities.biz, back in 2014 while he was 17 and still in high school. He said he started his own app development business and had grossed more than $4MM as of August 2016. He wanted to say thank you for the wisdom in our blog pages.

Today very young people like Chris are becoming millionaires at an astounding rate. Students today are bright, sophisticated and technologically savvy. What a great film! As a sport agent, Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) finds himself forced to go out on his own – taking with him just one client. At first it seems an impossible task and that failure is certain. Then things begin to turn around and he ends up a wonderful success in life, love and business. It is a really great movie.

 

  1. “Casino” by Martin Scorsese, 1995

Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro gave us a classic film about money, mafia and a look into the darker side of business. This film teaches that there are consequences to everything we do – both in life and in business.

This story is an ongoing moral puzzle inside the mind of one man seeking a good life. It shows us that we should be careful what we wish for. We think if we have a better job or a better car we will be happier. In reality, better things can bring more questions, mess and challenges too.

It may be difficult to imagine these men as young, every day college students but this movie will bring it all to life. This movie will teach how to make your way from amateur scientist to well-known genius.

More than a turning point in cinema, this film is an enduring classic. It is an entire look at human principles, regrets and happiness. It is a must see for you aspiring entrepreneurs out there.

This movie is a wild ride for sure and should not be seen by the faint of heart. It is filled with greed, humor, drugs, fast cars, scantily clad women and outrageous amounts of everything – but it is extremely entertaining and so made it #4 on our top 10 list of movies to see for entrepreneurs.

 

  1. “There Will Be Blood” by Paul Thomas Anderson, 2007

The lead character in this film is a man with dollar signs in his eyes. He is on a blind quest to be rich and uses whatever cruel methods available to him to do so. This is a movie where money is definitely thicker than blood – which in my opinion is a shame.

This film is about how the revolutionary website “Facebook” was developed. It’s the story of how Mark Zuckerberg got his start, created his website and became a terrible human being to his friends and business associates. While he does end up paying for it a bit, in the end, he still becomes a huge success and you probably know the rest of the story.

 

  1. The Wolf of Wall Street” by Martin Scorsese, 2013

What do you need to succeed? You need to be tough, ruthless and really love money. This movie is on the racy side but nevertheless it is extremely entertaining and a must see for aspiring entrepreneurs. It’s a story of two men who discover a way to make tremendous amounts of money and quick. Together they use greedy tactics to become one of the most brutal forces the business world has ever seen. While you probably won’t want your children to grow up and be these guys, the lives they lead are extravagant and wild and the movie definitely has its entertaining and inspirational moments.
